Thomas Manufacturing Company of Dayton, Ohio, a manufacturer of kerosene lanterns and lamps from around 1914 to roughly 1926, never seemed to produce their own irons, and they distributed these irons under their name. At some point Thomas Manufacturing Company changed their name or identified themselves as the Thomas Iron Company as is seen in the Kero-Safe iron ad at the bottom of this page.
Thomas Manufacturing Company of Dayton, Ohio, the kerosene pressurized lanterns and lamps producer, is believed to not be the same company as the Thomas Manufacturing Company of Springfield, Ohio (an implement manufacturer) who moved to Dayton, Ohio. There is often confusion between these 2 companies as they had the same name and were in the same city.

Another Thomas Kerosafe iron. Literature with this unbadged iron calls this "The Kerosafe Self-Heating Iron" and also refers to it as "The Faultless Self-Heating Iron". This iron has a lot of similarities to irons made by the Foote Manufacturing Company who also were in Dayton, Ohio. This iron is not in my collection.

The Kerosafe kerosene iron by the Thomas Manufacturing Company of Dayton, Ohio. There are a lot of similarities between this iron and the Perfecto iron that would lead me to believe that Enterprise Tool & Metal Works of Chicago, Illinois were the makers of this iron.

The Thomas Kero-Safe iron pictured in this ad is identical to the Hydrocarbon EZ Sad Iron. I believe that this iron pictured in this ad was made for Thomas by Enterprise Tool & Metal Works of Chicago, Illinois. Note that the iron is from Thomas Iron Company and not Thomas Manufacturing Company.
