The Monitor Sad Iron Company of Big Prairie, Ohio was in business from 1903 to 1954. The Royal Self-Heating Iron Company of Big Prairie, Ohio appears to have been a subsidiary company of Monitor.
The Sunshine Iron was produced by the Monitor Sad Iron Company for the Sunshine Safety Lamp Company of Kansas City, Missouri. This iron was distributed by Coleman Wichita starting in 1919.
