The purpose of this site is to show the multitude of different liquid fuel irons that were in use prior to the availability of electricity. Some of these gasoline irons, like the Coleman model 4A and the Even Heat, are still in use today by the Amish. The types of fuel used by the liquid fuel irons you will see on this site are whale oil, denatured alcohol/spirits, kerosene/paraffin, or gasoline/petrol/shellite.
If known, the manufacturer and approximate dates of production will be listed for each iron as well as any other interesting information. All irons will be considered white gasoline irons unless specified otherwise. Also listed for each iron will be the current owner of the iron and contributor to this site, unless the iron pictured is in my collection then no name will be listed.

Some of the irons pictured here, that are from my collection, haven't been cleaned up yet. When I get to cleaning them then I will update this site with better pictures. If another collector has a better example to share of an iron I have pictured, I will replace the current picture with theirs.
